This is where you get to voice your opinion about the proposed new LU calendar. This calendar is web-based and will be available to everyone on the web. The purpose of the new calendar is to consolidate all of Lincoln’s events in one place that’s easily accessible. We added some really neat functionality too. A user can select as many or as few department’s calendars as they like. Each department is color-coded. The system will archive events and news and users will be able to search for past and future information. You can download events to your Outlook calendar with a click. RSS feeds are integrated for each department’s calendar. We hope each department will have a feed to their main page on the LU website, providing fresh, up-to-date content throughout the website.

I like the all events all the time calendar idea! Smart idea; will be helpful in planning campus activities and avoiding conflicts.
I like the idea of being able to see everything on campus, even on different dates!

The calendar feature is easy to read, the layout is visually accessible and the functionality of noting specific events keeps everyone informed. If the goal is to increase usability of the university website, this is a good product.
I don’t think the look was a problem at all, I had problems with finding information on the site, and not having enough information provided ( if I even found what I was looking for). It would be nice it the site could provid as much info as possiable so that community studetns like myself can preaticipate more often. The search engine is what needs development, not the look! The site should also cosider a staff who can submitt events and info every monday for that upcomming week. Honsetly I hate going to the LU site because I can never find what I’m looking for. I’ts not computer firendly at all, and I am computer litterate. It’s the search box and it’s limits of info that agrivates me! It’s not the calander. I stoped using the site, but now go find info else where. I only use LU site for email purposes. May I also note that it was not a good idea for you all to have changed up the system for 2008 , there were alot of problems created becuase of that. It may have been heplful for new students but it was not for the upper classmen, and proffesors who’s accounts disapeared altogether. It’s the truth and the layout may keep everyone informed, but how much access will it provide? it only gives certain events, what about all the events for the school? I’m a senior and I don’t know what Grad fest for LU is. (I have an idea, but not enough to secure me with confidence on the event) I researched it on the site because it obvioulsy is of personal interest to me, and guess what I found….. nothing, I found nothing on the site about it. It provides info, but not enough, and thats just not on the calander. That is an event as well. I’m better off going to one of the offices in Young Hall and asking around! Take what I said into consideration and prove me wrong!
